Alex Kormushoff is globally recognized for his results in building, leading and growing information technology businesses. Over the past 25 years, Alex has driven enterprise value for companies spanning all aspects of information technology including hardware, software and consulting. In addition to holding Executive Operating Roles for IBM, SPSS, BroadVision, Sapient and Digital Equipment Corporation, Alex has been a pioneer in Electronic Commerce and Enterprise Predictive Analytics. Prior to founding 376main, Alex was the Senior Vice President of Global Operations at SPSS where he established the Enterprise Predictive Analytics Business and was instrumental in the sale of SPSS to IBM for $1.2B In his early career, Alex’s domain focus was on supply side productivity for companies in the manufacturing, logistics and retail sectors. For the past 15 years, his focus has been on driving competitiveness on the demand side of the equation. By integrating supply and demand, his work has enabled growth and competitiveness through the use of Predictive Analytics, Marketing Automation and Electronic Commerce. Alex established the Program for Homeland Security and Cyber Studies at The Pennsylvania State University. Additionally he holds board and advisory positions for Cleversafe, Macedonia 2025, Excelerate Labs, TiE Midwest, and the School of Business Administration at The Pennsylvania State University. He earned an MBA from Boston University and a Bachelors Degree from The Pennsylvania State University. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President Worldwide Operations (COO) for SPSS, the $300 million global leader of Predictive Analytics. Alex departed SPSS in December 2009 after its sale to IBM for $1.2 billion. Currently Alex is active in assisting companies in Predictive Analytics, Integrated Marketing, Social Networking and Cloud-based Computing. Alex serves on the boards of Macedonia 2025 and The Pennsylvania State University School of Business Administration Advisory Board. He is a mentor at Excelerate Labs and is an advisor to Cleversafe and Jot Locker.
